Nelson (Desert) Bighorn

 

Resident Nelson Bighorn Hunt 3151 & Nonresident Nelson Bighorn Hunt 3251:

300 plus tags with 10 percent issued to nonresidents through the general big game draw system. Application deadline third Monday in April. Draw results by email . Bonus point system in effect. Season dates vary October through December. Tag fee resident 120, nonresident 1200. 

 

Wildlife Heritage Nelson Bighorn Auction Tags (2):

Two tags available to either resident or nonresident. Permits auctioned by organizations selected by Wildlife Commission.  Any legal weapon may be used. Season dates August 1st  through December 31. Opportunity to harvest an exceptional ram.

 

Silver State Nelson Bighorn Tag:

One tag available to either resident or nonresident through the general big game draw system. Application fee $25. Application deadline third Monday in April.  Any legal weapon may be used. Season dates August 1st through December 31. Tag fee resident 120, nonresident 1200. 

 

Nelson Bighorn Dream Tag:

One tag available to either resident or nonresident via a raffle. First purchase a $10 Resource Enhancement Stamp (RES). Then purchase unlimited number of $5 raffle tickets. Ticket purchase deadline June 30th, drawing early July. Season dates same as hunt 3151 & 3251.  License & tag fee paid by Community Foundation of Western Nevada. 

 

Resident Nelson Bighorn PIW Hunt 3000:

One tag available to resident sportsman through the general big game draw system. Application deadline the third Monday in April. Draw results by email. Tag holder may hunt statewide in units where a season has been established. Season dates same as hunt 3151. 

 

 

California Bighorn

 

Resident California Bighorn Hunt 8151 &

Nonresident California Bighorn Hunt 8251:

Approximately 55 tags with 10 percent issued to nonresidents through the general big game draw system. Application deadline third Monday in April. Draw results by email. Bonus point system in effect. Season dates September 1st through October 31. Tag fee resident 120, nonresident 1200.
